In the annual meeting this time, the countries in ASEAN are also determining the direction of measures taken in various regional and sub regional cooperation that exist and make ASEAN as an organization based on cooperation among organizations in the community.
Furthermore, President Yudhoyono said, "We agreed that for ASEAN only too well that a People Centered Organization that also has an agenda to enhance cooperation in the field of social and cultural rights."

"The fact that this issue has not been resolved at all, and still will be discussed at the advanced level of foreign ministers in Jakarta, prove true there is no agreement on the ASEAN countries about the conflict resolution mechanism between them and there is still considerable suspicion," said Dinna Wishnu .
Strategic issues which also agreed in the Summit is a collaboration of natural disaster management, including the acceleration of Timor Leste's membership in ASEAN and Myanmar's readiness to become chairman of ASEAN in 2014 and the readiness of Laos into ASEAN chairman in the coming year 2016.
